Ecovacs Winbot W1 Pro window cleaning robot launches
Ecovacs has launched the Winbot W1 Pro, a new window cleaning robot. The gadget can automatically clean large windows, spraying the glass with water and wiping them clean. Winbot W1 Pro is compact, weighing 1.5 kg (~3.3 lbs) and measuring 30 x 40 x 7.75 cm (~12 x 16 x 3.05-in).
The robot has non-slip, dust-repellent drive rollers, and it uses 2,800 Pa suction power to adhere to the window. The W1 Pro has four edge detection sensors and anti-collision technology to ensure it doesn’t fall or hit a window handle.
You can also use a carabiner hook and safety rope when using the device outdoors as further protection from falling. Cross-spray technology ensures the robot can quickly clean an area up to 20 m² (~215 ft²) at once.
The robot has a 60 ml water tank, and it will trigger an app notification or sound when this is empty. Once the tank is refilled, the W1 Pro will pick up where it left off. The gadget's cleaning cloth plate can adapt to an uneven surface for a streak-free finish.
A 650 mAh battery allows the W1 Pro to clean for up to 30 minutes on a single charge. The gadget has WIN-SLAM 3.0 technology, and you can choose from three cleaning modes: quick, deep and selective. You can control the Winbot W1 Pro using the Ecovacs Home app or voice commands.
You can now buy the Ecovacs Winbot W1 Pro in some European countries, including France, Italy and Germany. The product retails for €449 (~US$468), with safety rope and cleaning cloths included. It is unclear whether or when the device will be available in other markets.
