EcoFlow Wave portable air conditioner launches with 12-hour runtime
EcoFlow has launched the Wave portable air conditioner. The company claims that the device has the most powerful cooling for a device of its size and the longest run time on the market.
The EcoFlow Wave produces 4,000 BTU (1,200 W) of cooling power. This enables it to cool an area of 64 ft² (~5.9 m²) from 86 to 75°F (~30 to 24°C) in eight minutes. The gadget works well in small rooms, RVs and tents.
The Wave has up to 12 hours of battery life with an optional 600 W battery add-on that you can purchase with the gadget. The device can automatically adjust the fan and cool settings to maximise the runtime.
You can charge the EcoFlow Wave up to 200 W using solar panels, with a charge time of five hours. A similar charge is available via a car outlet. Alternatively, you can charge the 600 W battery, including the optional add-on, from a standard wall outlet in two hours.
You can control the Wave using the built-in dials or remotely via the EcoFlow app and Bluetooth smartphone connection. The device measures 20.39 x 12.2 x 16.38-in (~51.8 x 31.0 x 41.6 cm) and weighs 38.58 lbs (~17.5 kg).
You can now pre-order the EcoFlow Wave portable air conditioner in the US for the discounted price of US$1,199. After launch, the product will retail for US$1,499, with deliveries expected from early July.
