The Sony Bravia X7400H smart TV will be released in India on August 6 via Flipkart for INR 63,990 (US$851). It comes with a 55-inch 4K LCD panel that uses Sony's proprietary Triluminos technology. Other features include support for Android TV, in-build Chromecast functionality, 20W speakers, and more.

Sony has quietly launched a new 4K smart TV in India via a Flipkart listing. Although it says 'coming soon,' it is likely that the smart TV will be up for grabs on Flipkart's August 6 sale.

The Sony Bravia X7400H comes with a 55-inch 4K display with a maximum refresh rate of 50Hz. That is likely a typo as 60Hz is pretty much standard across the board. Furthermore, Sony claims that the TV's Motionflow XR 100 feature can help 'smoothen' gameplay by 'inserting' frames at the right moment. That, combined with the TV's impeccable color accuracy, makes it an attractive buy for those looking to purchase next-generation gaming consoles.

One of the more exciting features of the Sony Bravia X7400H TV is its Triluminos panel. While it still employs the same technology as an LCD panel, it has far better color accuracy and peak brightness. The screen can also reproduce a color gamut that is far wider than traditional LCDs.

The Sony Bravia X7400H comes with Android TV out of the box, allowing users to download thousands of compatible apps via the Google Play Store. It's 16GB of storage should be plentiful, and one shouldn't have to worry about deleting apps to make room for others. Popular streaming apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Sony Liv, and Hotstar are already pre-installed.

Additional storage can be added via the two USB ports. Other connectivity options include 3 HDMI ports, one RJ45 ethernet jack, one headphone jack, and one PC Audio-in port. Since the television runs Android TV, it works in tandem with the Google Assistant. The Sony Bravia X7400H can double up as a Chromecast, allowing users to issue voice commands to it via a connected smartphone, smart speakers, and even the included remote.

Lastly, the Sony Bravia X7400H comes with a pair of 20W speakers that are compatible with the Dolby Audio standard. Unlike more affordable offerings from Xiaomi, TCL, and Vu, the Sony Bravia X7400H will set by back by a hefty INR 63,999 (US$851).
