Xiaomi frequently shares its business successes with its supportive fans, and this time around the Chinese OEM has been announcing how well it has been doing in the domestic TV market. It appears that not only have Xiaomi TVs been the most shipped TVs in China during the first half of 2020, but even more impressively the company has now been ranked first for TV shipment volume over a consecutive period of six quarters.
It’s hardly surprising that Xiaomi does so well in its domestic market by offering customers in China products with specifications that usually belong to devices in higher price brackets. The OEM proved this business strategy to be a profitable one with its smartphone range (initially at least) and now it’s smart TVs that are benefitting from the company’s pricing policy. Just in time for this celebration is the news that the 98-inch Redmi Smart TV Max is going to be put on sale again soon.
Buyers interested in snapping up a Redmi Max 98 can currently place a deposit of 2,000 yuan (US$285) between now and August 1, and then pay the remaining amount on that date. The 98-inch Redmi Smart TV Max has been consistently selling out every time it is put up for sale, with consumers attracted by its 4K resolution, dynamic backlight, 85% NTSC color gamut coverage, MEMC motion compensation, and quality build. With products like this and the broad Mi TV range, it seems likely Xiaomi will also be celebrating similar news by the end of 2020.
