Xiaomi tipped to launch a new OLED TV following the release of the 65-inch Mi TV Master Series
Xiaomi has slowly gained ground in the TV space. Offerings like the 98-inch Redmi Max Smart TV have proven to be incredible successes, and Xiaomi finally joined the premium OLED TV segment with the release of the 65-inch Mi TV Master Series last month. It appears that isn't where the company's efforts will end, however.
According to tipster Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi is set to release a brand new TV. Like the Mi TV Master Series, this new offering will also be an OLED-type, which should ensure that it competes against premium offerings from Samsung and LG. Interestingly, though, Digital Chat Station claims that the new TV "can only be viewed from a distance". We're not sure what that means but there's a chance it means the TV will be incredibly large; at least larger than 65 inches—the size of the Mi TV Master Series.
Of course, there's not much to go by. We expect the new TV to offer some of the features available on the Mi TV Master Series; 120 Hz, MEMC, and a variable refresh rate. If the theory of the new TV being on the larger side proves accurate, we could be looking at an MSRP north of US$3000.
