MIUI 12 rollout extended for the Mi 9T Pro and Redmi K20 Pro as Redmi 9 gets upgraded to Xiaomi's latest OS; more Redmi 7A handsets are now eligible for Android 10 too
Xiaomi has released V12.0.1.0.QFKRUXM, thereby completing the MIUI 12 rollout for the Mi 9T Pro and Redmi K20 Pro. Available for devices enrolled on the Russian branch of MIUI, the update carries the same changelog for all inaugural MIUI 12 builds. The update is rolling out now as an over-the-air (OTA) upgrade.
Similarly, Xiaomi has upgraded the Redmi 9 to MIUI 12 on the Chinese branch of MIUI. The update is called V12.0.1.0.QJCCNXM and coincides with a teaser of the device's release in India. The Redmi 9 is thought to be launching on MIUI 11 in India, although we imagine that Xiaomi will not keep the device on its old OS for long.
Separately, Android 10 has reached the Russian edition of the Redmi 7A. Xiaomi upgraded the Indian version of the device to Android 10 last month, although the company it on MIUI 11. The same applies to the Russian model, with Xiaomi bringing Android 10 to the Redmi 7A via V11.0.1.0.QCMRUXM. According to Piunikaweb, the changelog for the update is as follows:
Highlights
- Optimization: Updated Android Security Patch to June 2020. Increased system security.
