Xiaomi has sent out a slew of MIUI 12 updates to the Mi 9T, as it was one of the first phones to kickoff the MIUI 12 rollout. Owners of the Mi 9T in the EU and India have all received MIUI 12 updates but it appears Xiaomi has now halted the rollout for the phone.
On the Mi Forums, a moderator has confirmed that the Chinese company has temporarily halted the MIUI 12 rollout for the Mi 9T. The "why" is currently unknown, as the source only claims it's due to a minor issue. It's not the first time Xiaomi has halted the MIUI 12 rollout for one of its phones, and we expect it to resume shortly.
The rollout suspension doesn't affect all models of the phone, however, as it appears to be specific to the European (EU), Global (MI), and Russian (RU) models of the Mi 9T. This means that owners of the Redmi K20 or other Mi 9T regions are unaffected.
