New MIUI 12 update for Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro now available for Mi Pilot testers in India
The wait continues for Redmi Note 8 Pro owners in India who are looking forward to getting to grips with Xiaomi’s MIUI 12 skin. It has been reported that a new MIUI 12 update, V12.0.0.3.QGGINXM, is being pushed out OTA for Mi Pilot testers based in India. There has been mention in the changelog of the software update that this latest rollout is for “optimized system performance” and “improved system security and stability”.
It’s possible that major bugs were found by the Mi Pilot testers causing Xiaomi to rollout a new MIUI 12 update that fixes any reported problems. While Redmi Note 8 Pro owners will be pleased that the OEM is ironing out any issues with the software, there will be still some disgruntled noises to be heard in regard to the point that this likely means a wider rollout of MIUI 12 for the Redmi Note 8 Pro in India will take a while longer.
Redmi Note 8 Pro users have already been warned by Xiaomi that they should resist the temptation to download and install the beta test version of the MIUI 12 ROM that is only aimed at Mi Pilot users in India for the moment. This is because of the possibility of the phone becoming completely bricked during the process.
