Xiaomi Mi 8, Mi 9, and Mi A2 join the Mi A3, Poco F1, and Redmi Note 8 Pro on the growing Android 10-based PixelExperience custom ROM support list

Xiaomi smartphone owners with older devices can still get a taste of the Android 10 operating system thanks to custom ROM providers. In this case, the PixelExperience team has added 10 new Xiaomi devices to its list of supported smartphones, including the Xiaomi Mi 5, Mi 8, Mi 9, Mi Mix, and the Xiaomi Mi A2.

The list of Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones that are covered by a PixelExperience custom ROM offering users a chance to use software based on Android 10 has recently grown. It now includes some older devices such as the practically ancient Xiaomi Mi 5, and up to more modern smartphones such as the Xiaomi Mi 9 and the Redmi Note 8 Pro.

The PixelExperience builds are listed as stable, however, users should make sure they keep a back-up of their data before installing any custom ROM. The device obviously needs to be fully unlocked beforehand and owners should check carefully that they have the right page for their Xiaomi or Redmi smartphone before downloading the software.
