Xiaomi has announced that random Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7S devices in India will start receiving the Android 10-based version of MIUI 11. The beta stable update has the version code V11.0.2.0 QFGINXM and if all goes well then a wider public rollout of the software for the Redmi Note 7 will follow shortly afterwards.

The Redmi Note 7 series of smartphones was released in early 2019 and featured Android 9 Pie (MIUI 10) at the time. While it has already been reported that users in Xiaomi’s home country of China have already started receiving the Android 10-based MIUI 11 update, the rest of the world has been kept waiting for the time being.

However, a recent announcement in the Xiaomi Mi Community forums has revealed that Android 10/MIUI 11 for the Redmi Note 7 has started being rolled out to random users in India. The IN beta stable V11.0.2.0 QFGINXM has been pushed out OTA, and if the beta testing period goes well then a public rollout can be expected within a week or so.

The post about the Redmi Note 7 receiving Android 10 also states that the beta stable update rollout may be halted if bugs are reported and that Redmi Note 7 users in India who are selected for the beta program can skip the installation if they prefer to wait for the public stable ROM. Xiaomi has also pointed out that users may get banned if they share the ROM link or changelog.
