PS5 games box art revealed with Spider-Man: Miles Morales starring front and center while alleged real-life DualSense controller looks gigantic
Sony has unveiled how future PS5 games will be packaged with a sneak peek at the box art for Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The square vs. rectangular debate has now been answered, with Sony clearly plumping for the latter. It has been pointed out that there really is only a minor design difference between the PS5 box art and that of PS4 games, with the PS5 logo and white flash replacing the PS4 logo and blue flash. But the white and black color scheme of the box art follows the design language of the console itself.
Following the reveal of the PS5 box art for Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the official Twitter account for Horizon Forbidden West shared the design for that particular upcoming title (scheduled for 2021). Once again, the design colors follow those of the PS5 console, with the blue case also emulating the blue LEDs of the next-gen device. An alleged image of the PS5 box art for GTA 5 has also been shared, although this comes via an unofficial source, so it could be fake.
The PS5 DualSense controller has apparently appeared in a real-life image, although this could also be fake. Fans have been shocked by how large the controller looks in the image (see below) with many opining that they preferred the look of the DualSense in the official renders. The supposed DualSense controller has been compared with a DualShock 4 controller for an idea of size, and it certainly seems that the former is much larger than its predecessor. However, it could be the angle the photo was taken at that gives the illusion of the PS5 accessory being bigger than it actually is.
