Xiaomi has announced that random Redmi Note 7 users have been selected to receive the Android 10-based version of MIUI 11. The global beta stable update will go through a short testing period before other owners of the global variant of the Redmi Note 7 can start enjoying the operating system upgrade.

Shortly after informing Redmi Note 7 users in India that a lucky few had been chosen to receive the MIUI 11 IN ROM to test, it’s now the turn for owners of the global model to enjoy the update from Android 9 to Android 10. Unfortunately, it’s not the update that includes Xiaomi’s heavily promoted MIUI 12 skin, but it’s an update nonetheless.

The MIUI 11 global beta stable update for the Redmi Note 7 is version V11.0.1.0 QFGMIXM, which will be pushed out OTA to random users. Xiaomi is requesting those Redmi Note 7 owners who receive the update and install it to provide feedback on the reception, installation, and performance of the Android 10-based MIUI 11 overlay.

As this is only a beta phase, general owners of the Redmi Note 7 not selected to test the software should wait a bit longer before the official public rollout commences rather than download the beta ROM from another source. Xiaomi has stated that it could take a week or so before the testing period is completed, so it shouldn’t be too long before Redmi Note 7 users start receiving the Android 10-based MIUI 11 global stable update.
