Over the past couple of weeks, Xiaomi has sent out the Android 10 update to the Redmi 7A, Redmi Note 7 Pro, and Redmi 7. The company has now begun tackling the last device in the series, the Redmi Note 7, by initiating the Android 10 rollout for the phone.
Yes, the Android 10 update is now being sent out to the Redmi Note 7. As it is with all Xiaomi update rollouts, the update is currently only going out to Chinese models of the phone. It bears the software build number "MIUI 11.0.2.0.QFQCNXM", doubles up as the June security patch, and weighs 2.2 GB.
As expected it's based on MIUI 11. We recently reported that Xiaomi halted the MIUI 12 rollout for the Redmi Note 7, preferring to focus on providing the phone with an Android 10 update instead. We expect the Redmi Note 8's Android 10 update to be based on MIUI 11, too.
Since the update is currently rolling out in China, we expect a global rollout in the coming weeks; likely in early July.
