Asus claimed it would release the ROG Phone 3 and Zenfone 7 in July but while the ROG Phone 3 already has an official launch date, there's been little to no noise about the Zenfone 7. Until now. New information has now surfaced about the upcoming Zenfone 7 and the previously unheard of Zenfone 7 Pro.

Asus is finally set to launch the ROG Phone 3 later this month but it's another Asus flagship phone that keeps enthusiasts up at night—the Zenfone 7. New information has now surfaced about the upcoming Asus Zenfone 7, and it's one that may thrill fans of last year's Zenfone 6.

According to information coming out from Taiwan, Asus will actually launch two Zenfone 7 phones—a regular Zenfone 7 and a Zenfone 7 Pro. That's unexpected, as the company has usually only released one model.

It does make sense from a business perspective, however. One of the expected selling points of the Zenfone 7 is its affordability. Offering a regular model and a more expensive Pro model allows Asus to provide something with a few compromises for those looking for a cheaper flagship, and a more feature-packed, expensive model for those who want the entire package. Quite similarly to the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro, in fact.

The two phones are expected to mark the return of the swiveling camera module like we saw on the Zenfone 6. That should keep fans of the last-gen phone happy. The report claims there'll be more cameras, though, so we expect to see a telephoto lens this time out in addition to the ultra-wide-angle and main camera.
