New leak reveals Asus Zenfone 7 improvements over the Zenfone 6
Asus is set to launch the Zenfone 7 in the near future, and the phone has finally made its first actual appearance, in certification listings at the NCC and TUV websites.
Going by the listings, the Zenfone 7 will sport a 6.7-inch display. That display is likely a 1080p 120 Hz panel, with Asus typically leaving AMOLED panels for its ROG Phone series. That display size is on the larger side, but last year's Zenfone 6 had a big 6.4-inch display anyway.
The Zenfone 7 is also listed with a hefty 5000 mAh battery, also the same as the Zenfone 6. The upgrade is in fast charging, with the Zenfone 7 expected to get 30 W charging, versus the inadequate 18 W charging on the Zenfone 6. The Zenfone 7 will, of course, be powered by a Snapdragon 865, and is said to have a top-spec model with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The Zenfone 6 topped out at 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
