A few weeks ago, we loudly pondered the fate of the Asus Zenfone 7, as leaks were almost non-existent and there was no confirmation of a planned launch—a whole year after the Zenfone 6 was released. There is good news now, though, as Asus has confirmed that it's working on the Zenfone 7.
Asus Co-CEO Hu Shubin has confirmed the company's plans for the Zenfone 7. The company plans to release the Zenfone 7 and the ROG Phone 3 at the end of the second quarter, or the start of the third quarter. In other words, late June or early July. That's less than two months away at this point, and we expect more information on the two phones to start surfacing shortly.
In fact, it already has. A phone that appears to be the ROG Phone 3 was recently spotted on Geekbench and the WiFI Alliance page. The Zenfone 7 is the one we look forward to the most, though, as we expect it to offer a premium package at a considerably cheaper price point than the competition: a rarity this year. Asus also has big plans for the ROG Phone 3, as it targets a 30% to 50% rise in sales numbers over the ROG Phone 2.
