Asus releases the Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro in 11 more countries; no UK or US availability planned
It has been just over a week since Asus unveiled the Zenfone 7 series, and now it has brought the two devices to European shores. To recap, only a few things distinguish the Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro from each other. In terms of their similarities, both devices have a 6.4-inch and 90 Hz AMOLED screen, a 5,000 mAh battery, three rear-facing cameras and up to 8 GB of RAM. However, the Zenfone 7 is only available with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, whereas the Snapdragon 865 Plus graces the Pro edition.
Additionally, Asus only offers optical image stabilisation (OIS) on the Zenfone 7 Pro, albeit on its IMX686 primary and 3x optical zoom telephoto cameras. The Zenfone 7 also only available with 128 GB of storage, which can be paired with 6 GB or 8 RAM of RAM. By contrast, ASUS is offering the Zenfone 7 Pro with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Both devices support microSD card expansion, though.
However, the 6 GB SKU has not been released in Europe. Instead, the Zenfone 7 starts at €699 for the 8 GB model, while the Zenfone 7 Pro comes in at €100 more. Both devices are available to order in Aurora Black and Pastel White. From what we can tell, Asus is selling the Zenfone 7 series in the eleven countries listed below. According to The Verge, Asus will also sell the Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro in Ireland, but it has no plans to sell either device in the UK or the US. Asus will begin shipping the Zenfone 7 series on September 9.
