Xiaomi has now started sending out the August security patch to its Android One phones, starting with the Mi A3. The update is seeding to global models of the device and weighs just 33 MB while promising to offer bug fixes.

For some reason, Xiaomi only managed to send out the July update to the Mi A2 Lite yesterday. Its other Android One phones already got that update weeks ago, though, and it's now begun to roll out the August patch, starting with the Mi A3.

The Mi A3 is now receiving a new update. The update bears the build designation "V11.0.20.0 QFQMIXM", which shows that it's for the global variants of the phone. Owners running other regional software will likely get their updates within the week.

This new update is a sleek 33.5 MB download, as is typical with the device. The changelog promises the August security patch, improved stability, optimization, security, and bug fixes. The Mi A2 Lite's update yesterday also promised similar but public feedback shows there wasn't much in the way of any actual bug fixing.

As always, let us know in the comments of you've received this update; did it fix any of the bugs from previous builds?
