Android 10 reaches the Xiaomi Redmi 8 in Europe and the Redmi Note 7 in Russia as Xiaomi re-releases MIUI 12 for the Redmi Note 9 globally
Xiaomi has re-released MIUI 12 for the global version of the Redmi Note 9. The company originally started upgrading handsets to its latest OS last month, but it pulled V12.0.2.0.QJOMIXM, presumably because of bugs. Now, Xiaomi has posted V12.0.3.0.QJOMIXM, which it is issuing to handsets as an over-the-air (OTA) upgrade. Piunikaweb states that there are no notable changes between V12.0.2.0.QJOMIXM and V12.0.3.0.QJOMIXM, so Xiaomi may well have just addressed the bugs that existed on last month's build.
V12.0.3.0.QJOMIXM is undergoing a limited release for the time being, but the update should receive a wider release within a few days. If you would like to install the build manually, then you can do so by downloading the 1.8 GB recovery zip file from the link below.
Xiaomi continues to upgrade the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi 8 to Android 10 too. Both remain on MIUI 11 rather than MIUI 12, but the Android 10 upgrade has reached the Redmi Note 7 in Russia and the Redmi 8 in Europe. Again, these updates are being rolled out as OTA upgrades, but you can download the recovery zips via the links below.
- Redmi Note 9 - V12.0.3.0.QJOMIXM (1.8 GB)
- Redmi 8 - V11.0.1.0.QCNEUXM (1.9 GB)
- Redm Note 7 - V11.0.1.0.QFGRUXM (2.0 GB)
