MIUI 12 has reached the Redmi Note 9 in India. It has only been a few days since Xiaomi upgraded the European edition of the Redmi Note 9 to its latest OS, which was preceded by an equivalent update for the global version of the device. The new update is called V12.0.1.0.QJOINXM and is reported to be to stable by outlets like Piunikaweb. If that is the case, then V12.0.1.0.QJOINXM should be hitting devices now as an OTA upgrade.
However, a Mi Community post lists V12.0.1.0.QJOINXM as a Beta Stable update, which means that Xiaomi is testing it on select handsets before commencing a wider rollout. If all goes well, then Xiaomi expects V12.0.1.0.QJOINXM to be released to the public "within a few days". We have included the download link to V12.0.1.0.QJOINXM below should you wish to try it out on your device. Please note that the file is a 1.9 GB download. By contrast, the OTA will be much smaller and may clock in at under 1.0 GB.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi has expanded the release of its latest OS for the POCO F2 Pro. V12.0.2.0.QJKIDXM should be reaching more handsets in Indonesia as the company continues the rollout for the device there. The OTA is just 345 MB, while the full recovery ROM is a 2.8 GB download. Both can be downloaded by the links below, which are hosted on Xiaomi's servers.
- Redmi Note 9 - V12.0.1.0.QJOINXM (1.9 GB)
- POCO F2 Pro - V12.0.2.0.QJKIDXM (2.8 GB) / OTA (345 MB)
