Xiaomi has now kicked off the Mi Pilot program for Android 11. The beta-testing program allows owners of the Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, and Poco F2 Pro to sign up for early Android 11 builds. As always, there are a few noteworthy stipulations, however.

After sending out the Android 10 update to most of its lineup, Xiaomi is already setting its sight towards Android 11. The company has kicked off the Mi Pilot program for the Android 11 rollout, with eligible users now free to sign up to get an early taste of the upcoming Android version.

The program is currently only open to owners of the Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, and Poco F2 Pro. Not to all owners, though; just owners of the global models of the three devices. Users of the EU, IN, ID, and RU models would do well to look away.

As is typical with Xiaomi's Mi Pilot program, there are a few stipulations:

  • The enlisted device must be logged in
  • Enlisters must have access to debugging and flash tools
  • Enlisters must be willing to work with the dev team to sort bugs out
  • Enlisters must be willing to deal with defecting updates and buggy build, with the technical know-how required for device flashing

It's safe to say that this program isn't for the average user. If you need an Android 11 update that works without issues, you'd be much better off waiting for the stable rollout that should begin in a few months.
