OnePlus TV Series prices teased for three models: 32-inch smart TV could be ₹19,999 (US$264) or even ₹14,999 (US$198)
OnePlus has teased the prices for India for its upcoming OnePlus TV Series. Previously, it was known that the company was preparing to launch a 32-inch set and 43-inch TV, but with the additional higher price tag comes the indication that a possible 55-inch model might also be included in the smart TV lineup. The OEM has cruelly left out a number from each price tag, encouraging followers to estimate the final cost.
Unsurprisingly, as the teaser states “₹1X,999, ₹2X,999, ₹4X,999” many have simply plumped for ₹19,999 (US$264), ₹29,999 (US$397), and ₹49,999 (US$661) for the 32-inch OnePlus TV, 43-inch OnePlus TV, and possible 55-inch OnePlus TV, respectively. Likely or not, these prices seem a bit disingenuous for a company that will be taking on the might of Xiaomi in an increasingly competitive smart TV sector.
It’s possible OnePlus will actually offer lower price tags for its new smart TV series, with around ₹15,000 already mentioned as a price for the 32-inch set by people “familiar with the matter”. This would make more sense, as 32-inch Xiaomi Mi TVs such as the Mi LED TV 4A Pro and Mi LED TV 4C Pro are usually priced at ₹14,999 (US$198), although they are currently reduced to ₹12,999 (US$172).
Obviously, it depends on the specs the super-slim OnePlus TV Series of smart televisions will deliver that will decide the prices. But maybe the 43-inch set could cost around ₹24,999 (US$331) and the potential 55-inch OnePlus smart TV could cost in the region of ₹45,999 (US$608), or even less, to ensure that OnePlus gets off to a flying start when its cheaper smart TVs are released on July 2.
