Xiaomi is coming to the end of Round 1 of its MIUI 12 release schedule, with the likes of the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro having already received the company's latest OS update. Several Redmi K30 series devices have been upgraded to MIUI 12 too, including the K30 4G and K30 5G. However, it has now made a rather confusing announcement on its Redmi Weibo page.
Brought to our attention by MyDrivers via Gizchina, Xiaomi has stated that it will bring stable MIUI 12 updates to a wave of Redmi smartphone from tomorrow. The company is yet to confirm which devices will receive the OS upgrade. However, the Chinese versions of the Redmi K30 4G, Redmi K30 5G, Redmi K30 Pro, Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition and Redmi K20 have all just been updated to new builds of MIUI 12.
Hence, we would not rule out Xiaomi having cryptically announced that it is on the verge of commencing Round 2 of its MIUI 12 schedule. Around 20 Redmi-branded smartphones are due to be upgraded to MIUI 12 in Round 2, pilot testers for which Xiaomi has already sought. The list of devices includes the Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Note 8 Pro among others.
