Xiaomi has officially commenced the public rollout of the MIUI 12 stable update for a number of Redmi-branded smartphones. The first devices to receive the MIUI 12 update were the Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition and the Redmi K30 Pro. Smartphones in both the Redmi K30 and K20 lineups have been included in the public rollout.

There have been many reports in regard to various Redmi smartphones receiving a stable version of MIUI 12 over the last weeks, but the Xiaomi subsidiary has now officially announced that a public rollout of the Android overlay has commenced, with the Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition and Redmi K30 Pro smartphones leading the pack by being the first to receive MIUI 12.

Following those flagship-killing devices, Redmi has revealed on its Weibo page that the MIUI 12 stable update has also been officially pushed to the Redmi K30 5G, Redmi K30, Redmi K20 Pro Exclusive Edition (Premium), Redmi K20 Pro, and Redmi K20. The software rollout will be staggered because of the large amount of devices receiving the MIUI 12 stable update.

It is widely expected that other Redmi smartphones joining the K30 and K20 models that have now officially received the MIUI 12 stable update will include the Redmi 8 Pro, Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7S, Redmi Note 7 Pro, and Redmi Note 8 Pro. However, for the moment, it is owners of devices like the Redmi K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom Edition who will be getting to enjoy the super wallpaper, floating windows, new app animations, and improved privacy safeguards.
