Global stable MIUI 12 update lands for the Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro and Mi 9T Pro; MIUI 12 update for the Mi 9 arrives in Europe too
Xiaomi has brought MIUI 12 to the global editions of the Redmi K20 Pro and Mi 9T Pro. The update is part of Round 1 of the company's MIUI 12 release schedule and brings the global models onto parity with the variant that Xiaomi released in China. The update will arrive as an over-the-air (OTA) upgrade and will carry the build number V188.8.131.52.QFKMIXM. If you have not received a notification to download the initial version of MIUI 12 for the Redmi K20 Pro and Mi 9T Pro then the OTA or full recovery ROM can be downloaded from Xiaomi's servers via third-party websites like Xiaomi Firmware Updater and MIUI11_Updates.
The European version of the Mi 9 has also been upgraded to MIUI 12. Called V184.108.40.206.QFAEUXM, the build is being pushed out to handsets now. Alternatively, you can install the build manually by downloading it the same way as you can with the equivalent update for the Redmi K20 Pro and Mi 9T Pro.
MIUI 12 is still yet to hit the India stable branch of MIUI for the Mi 9, Mi 9T Pro or Redmi K20 Pro, though. However, Xiaomi has already issued a second round of MIUI 12 updates for the China stable branch following the ones that it released last week. These are called V220.127.116.11.QFACNXM for the Mi 9 and V18.104.22.168.QFKCNXM for the Mi 9T Pro/Redmi K20 Pro. While all early MIUI 12 updates continue to be based on Android 10, Xiaomi has started beta testing Android 11 on devices like the Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro and Redmi K30 Pro.
