The Xiaomi Mi Smart Mouse has been unveiled via Xiaomi’s shopping app and is currently on the Chinese OEM’s crowdfunding platform. The Mi Smart Mouse boasts of featuring the company’s voice assistant (hence the aka Xiaomi XiaoAI Mouse name) allowing users to control the device with simple vocal commands like “open Word” or “computer volume to 80”. The price tag for the Mi Smart Mouse is 149 yuan (US$21) but the accessory will be priced at 129 yuan (US$18) throughout the crowdfunding campaign from June 24 to July 1.
Along with issuing voice commands to the Xiaomi Mi Smart Mouse, users can also utilize the mouse on two different devices at the same time thanks to dual-mode connectivity. As we previously reported, the mouse is also able to offer word and voice translation, which currently supports Chinese to English/Japanese/Korean. The Mi Smart Mouse has an anti-bacterial coating that is apparently 99.9% effective, and it has a 750-mAh battery capable of 30 days use between charges and 180-day standby time.
Other details for the Xiaomi Mi Smart Mouse include 4,000 DPI sensitivity, Bluetooth 5.0, and a sturdy wheel that can handle 10 million presses. The Mi Smart Mouse has a dedicated button for calling up the Xiaomi XiaoAI voice assistant, which some will find extremely useful while others might be concerned about their smart mouse listening in to private conversations. Although the Xiaomi Mi Smart Mouse is only available in China at the moment, it is expected to reach other parts of the globe at a later date.
