Xiaomi releases a new update Mi A2 Lite targetting at reducing system lag and increasing system stability
The Mi A2 Lite has received a new OS update, and it seems that Xiaomi has finally overcome the bugs that it kept pushing to the device earlier this year after upgrading it to Android 10. The Mi A2 Lite has received two OS upgrades since starting life on Android 8.1 Oreo, so Android 10 is likely the final stop for the Android One handset.
Nonetheless, the new update promises to reduce system lag and increase system stability. The Mi A2 Lite should receive at least security updates until 2021 too. The update, called V11.0.7.0.QDLMIXM, is rolling out now as an over-the-air (OTA) upgrade. Xiaomi notes that it is rolling out the update in batches, so it will not have hit all devices quite yet.
However, the company has published a link to download and install the OTA update manually should you wish to do so. V11.0.7.0.QDLMIXM can be downloaded from here. Please note that it is a 1.1 GB download. You can install the update by heading to System Update within the main Settings menu and selecting Choose update package. The option is hidden within a three-dot menu. If you cannot see the menu within System Update, then tapping the MIUI logo seven or eight times should enable it.
