Rumour | The OnePlus Nord may be arriving on July 21 with up to 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, a 90 Hz display and in three colours
OnePlus has already taken numerous pre-orders for the Nord, with stock levels apparently running out in under a minute during its initial pre-order event. Interest around the OnePlus Nord is undoubtedly at a high currently, despite the company having yet to reveal what the device looks like. OnePlus has confirmed that the Nord will be running a Snapdragon 765G and by virtue a 5G modem, but there are still plenty of unknowns.
Now, someone is claiming to have received a complete specification list for the OnePlus Nord. We cannot vouch for their veracity, and they claim to have received them from an unnamed source. Hence, there is no guarantee that these will be the final specifications for the device. Nonetheless, they make for intriguing reading.
According to @Iamnil7, the OnePlus Nord will have a 90 Hz display with a 180 Hz touch sampling rate and an in-display fingerprint scanner. Additionally, it will be an AMOLED panel, although they are less clear about its size. Apparently, it will be between 6.5-inch and 6.7-inches and will have a punch-hole for dual front-facing cameras. Complementing the display is a 4,115 mAh battery that supports 30 W Warp Charge and either 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage or 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
In terms of cameras, the OnePlus Nord will purportedly have a 32 MP Sony IMX616 primary front-facing camera that will be supported by an 8 MP ultra-wide angle sensor with EIS. On the back, there will be a 48 MP Sony IMX586, an 8 MP ultra-wide angle sensor, a 5 MP macro camera and a 2 MP depth sensor. OIS and EIS will be onboard, as will support for recording videos at up to 4K and 30 FPS.
Finally, the OnePlus Nord will apparently come in three colours. According to @Iamnil7, these will be called Blue Marble, Grey Onyx and Grey Ash. As for a release date, @Iamnil7 claims that OnePlus will launch the Nord in India on July 21. OnePlus has already confirmed that the device will retail for less than US$500, but it has yet to mention anything about pricing in India.
To reiterate, these rumoured specifications could be exactly that, a rumour. Alternatively, they could be a wishlist rather than anything concrete. We are willing to be proven wrong, though. The OnePlus Nord will be available to pre-order again on July 8, with a third pre-order event occurring on July 15.
