OnePlus teases the design of the OnePlus Nord with a flat screen, multiple rear-facing cameras and a punch-hole selfie camera
OnePlus has teased the design of the Nord, its upcoming Snapdragon 765G-powered handset. Published on Amazon.in and its @oneplus.nord Instagram page, the company has given several clues about the device. In short, the OnePlus Nord will broadly resemble the renders that @OnLeaks and 91Mobiles published in December 2019. However, there are a few key differences.
Firstly, the OnePlus Nord will have a longer and less boxy rear-facing camera array than was previously suggested by @OnLeaks and 91Mobiles. This may be because OnePlus has included four cameras rather than three, a change that has been rumoured several times in the last few months. Additionally, it appears as though OnePlus has moved the front-facing camera from the centre to the left-hand side of the display. There have been rumours that OnePlus will be including two front-facing sensors in the Nord, but we cannot make out the volume of lenses from the images below.
The LED flash next to the rear-facing camera array remains though, as does the dark blue finish. Likewise, the button arrangement has not changed, with OnePlus placing the alert slider and power button on the right-hand side of the device. Presumably, the volume rocker has been placed on the opposite side.
OnePlus has confirmed that the Nord will support 5G and will cost less than US$500. There is a rumour that the OnePlus Nord will arrive in India on July 21, but that remains unconfirmed for the time being. Overall, the OnePlus Nord looks nothing like the OnePlus 8 or OnePlus 8 Pro. It would appear that OnePlus has gone with a flat screen for its new mid-range handset, too.
