OnePlus Nord to feature an AMOLED screen and a 4,115 mAh battery as leak reveals full design of sub-US$500 handset
OnePlus has only revealed part of the design of its next smartphone so far, with the company teasing an image that confirmed the arrangement of its back panel. According to Android Central, the large rear-facing camera array on the back of the OnePlus Nord will house a 48 MP main sensor augmented by three other cameras.
Now, the company has more or less confirmed that the Nord will have an AMOLED panel. We write more or less as OnePlus did not use those words. However, it can be inferred from the company's Instagram post, a screenshot of which we have included below. There had been rumours the display would feature a cut out for two front-facing cameras, which Evan Blass has now confirmed.
Posting on his Patreon page, Blass has revealed the full design of the OnePlus Nord, complete with four cases for the device. The photos confirm that the Nord will have a small chin and four rear-facing cameras, along with prominent OnePlus branding on the back of the device.
Besides the silicone case presented below, OnePlus will also release three cases that Blass calls the "OnePlus Nord Creators Cases". These have been in partnership with Camilla Engstrom, Finsta and JerryRigEverything. Incidentally, the latter case reveals that the OnePlus Nord has a battery with a typical capacity of 4,115 mAh. The battery is rated at 4,010 mAh too.
The OnePlus Nord will launch on July 21. OnePlus will also host its final pre-order event on July 15, which will run for one day.
