OnePlus has finally unveiled the design of its next smartphone, the Nord. Already confirmed to be based on a Snapdragon 765G chipset, OnePlus revealed the design of the Nord in a video with YouTuber MKBHD. The company had already teased the device's design, but this is the first time that we have seen a full look at the Nord.
Based on the video, OnePlus plans to release the Nord in two colours. One is a conventional-looking grey, while the other is what Carl Pei calls Teal. The video also reveals the front of the Nord and offers a look at its two front-facing cameras. While most of the details about the cameras in the Nord remains unknown, OnePlus has confirmed that one of its front-facing sensors will have a 105° field of view (FoV). While multiple OEMs have included ultra-wide-angle rear-facing cameras in their devices in the last few years, only Google has released a handset with an ultra-wide-angle front-facing one.
Pei also showed off a few OnePlus Nord prototypes that the company had already teased. Additionally, he discussed the costs of NFC, IP ratings, batteries, displays and the headphone jack.
The video comes just a day before OnePlus' third and final pre-order event for the Nord. Unlike past events, OnePlus will allow people to pre-order the device for a full 24 hours. Tomorrow's pre-order event will not have limited stock either, apparently.
