IFA 2022 | Asus ExpertBook B6 Flip announced with 12th-generation Intel Alder Lake-HX processors, Nvidia RTX A2000 GPU and a 16:10 mini LED touchscreen
Asus has announced some new business-centric laptops at IFA 2022. The lineup includes SKUs such as the ExpertBook B5, ExpertBook B5 Flip and ExpertBook B6 Flip. While the differences between the three aren't particularly remarkable, the ExpertBook B6 Flip brings forth some high-end features such as an Alder Lake H55 CPU, workstation-grade GPUs and multiple screen options. Asus will confirm the laptop's price and release date later.
The Asus ExpertBook B6 Flip pulls no punches with its hardware. One can configure it with an Intel Core i9-12950HX vPro/Intel Core i7-12850HX vPro Alder Lake-HX processor, Nvidia RTX A2000 (80 W TGP) graphics card, up to 128 GB of error-correcting RAM and 4 TB of solid-state storage. Both the memory and storage are user-replaceable. The beefy hardware draws power from a 90 Wh battery.
For its display, the Asus ExpertBook B6 Flip uses a 16-inch WQXGA (2,560 x 1,600) 16:10 IPS LCD panel. It covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, has a peak brightness of 500 nits and can optionally be configured with a mini LED panel. As its name suggests, the Asus ExpertBook B6 doubles up as a tablet with touchscreen functionality. A 1080p camera sits on top of the screen, complete with Windows Hello functionality and a privacy shutter.
Connectivity options on the Asus ExpertBook B6 Flip are aplenty and include, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, two Thunderbolt 4.0 ports, one HDMI 2.0b port, one RJ45 Ethernet jack, one mini DP port, one 3.5 mm combo audio jack, one Nano Kensington slot and a smart card reader. For wireless connectivity, there is Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.
