The Asus ExpertBook B9 has now been unleashed on the market as an even smaller challenger to the likes of the LG Gram and Apple MacBook Air laptops of the world. It weighs as little as 880 grams (g) thanks to a "magnesium lithium-alloy" chassis.
Asus also contends that the new B9 is also super-portable as it fits a "clear and bright" 14-inch NanoEdge screen into a 13-inch form factor. Despite this, it is touted as benefiting from "extreme military-grade durability", a reinforced 180° hinge included, to help with any potential anxiety in moving around with it.
The Asus NumberPad-enabled ExpertBook B9 is now available on Amazon, albeit in just 1 SKU with the Core i7-1255U and vPro, even though the OEM hinted at the possibility of the i7-1265U, i5-1245U and i5-1235U at its launch.
It starts at US$1,840.85 with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 1TB SSD, and also has a 32GB/2TB option set at US$2,439.99 - although this one is 7% less at US$2,266.89 right now on Amazon.com.
Asus asserts that, despite their minimal height, they can last up to 16 hours on a charge thanks to a 66Whr battery - although it should be noted that, as this is actually the most capacity available to the B9, these SKUs will not be as light as their new line can get.
