iQOO 11: Latest teasers hint at updated second colorway and 200W charging in the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered flagship smartphones
iQOO has been obliged by public events at home to miss its scheduled December 2, 2022 launch for its latest top-end smartphones, thought to emerge as the 11 and 11 Pro with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Now, there are signs that its plans are all but back underway, as the brand has announced a debut for at least 1 of these devices.
This event is, moreover, an international debut, thereby suggesting that iQOO will beat Xiaomi to a release for its take on the latest Qualcomm SoC outside of China in the process.
Then again, the company's Indonesian division has indicated that only 1 new "Monster" will appear on December 8, 2022, and that it will be the vanilla 11 rather than its higher-end Pro sibling.
The iQOO 10 series emerged with a signature BMW M Motorsport-branded rear panel alongside a second black colorway in 2022. Now, the 11's new teasers indicate more of the same, although the latter will switch to a plain matte finish for the first time.
This potentially global version of the flagship may or may not debut with a 4,700mAh battery compatible with the 200W charging tech that was the fastest on Earth on its launch; then again, iQOO has confirmed that this is an option for its Chinese-market SKUs.
The 11 is also slated to launch in Malaysia soon, possibly hitting other markets such as India thereafter.
