Xiaomi may have postponed last week's launch of the Xiaomi 13 series, but the company continues to tease information about its next flagship smartphones in China. As the images below show, Xiaomi has now switched to showcasing the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro's displays, which it left to interpretation until now.
As the image below demonstrates, the Xiaomi 13 has a flat display with minimal bezels. According to @UniverseIce, the Xiaomi 13 has the 'narrowest chin ever', whether that be its bezel or its bezel and mid-frame. If that is the case, then this would give the Xiaomi 13 an advantage over the Xiaomi 13 Pro, which has a curved display.
The Xiaomi 13 appears to have a thicker top bezel than a bottom bezel too, unlike most modern smartphones. Additionally, Xiaomi has now confirmed that the Xiaomi 13 relies on the Samsung E6, an AMOLED display that will output at 1080p, 120 Hz and up to 1,900 nits in certain scenarios. In comparison, the Xiaomi 13 Pro is expected to contain a 1440p and 120 Hz AMOLED display.
The company has now added both Xiaomi 13 series models to its Tmall eCommerce platform too, presumably in preparation for the pair's launch. Although Xiaomi has yet to confirm a revised launch date, there are rumours of a December 7 or December 8 reschedule. According to Pricebaba, both models will be available in the following four memory configurations:
- 8 GB RAM & 128 GB UFS 3.1 flash storage
- 8 GB RAM & 256 GB UFS 4.0 flash storage
- 12 GB RAM & 256 GB UFS 4.0 flash storage
- 12 GB RAM & 512 GB UFS 4.0 flash storage
