Xiaomi Watch S2 and Xiaomi Buds 4 pricing leaks online
Xiaomi may have yet to announce a new launch date for the Buds 4 or Watch S2, but prices for both devices have already leaked online. To recap, Xiaomi had planned to launch the pair in China on December 1, along with the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro. However, all Chinese technology firms postponed events to honour the passing of Jiang Zemin, the former President and Communist Party General Secretary. Reputedly, Xiaomi has rescheduled its hardware launch event for later this week, the details of which we have covered separately.
In the meantime, 91mobiles alleges that Xiaomi will launch the Buds 4 for approximately CNY 600 (~US$86), which makes the earbuds slightly cheaper than the Buds 3 Pro. Typically, the latter retails for CNY 699 (~US$100), although Xiaomi is currently selling the earbuds for CNY 499 (~US$72). Conversely, the Buds 3 carries a CNY 499 (~US$72) MSRP. Xiaomi is running a CNY 200 (~US$29) discount on these earbuds too though, reducing them to a mere CNY 299 (~US$43).
In comparison, 91mobiles claims that the Watch S2 will be available for CNY 999 (~US$143). For context, the Watch S1 launched for CNY 1,099 (~US$158), while the Watch S1 Pro debuted in August for CNY 1,499 (~US$215). In other words, although Xiaomi has raised the price of its earbuds generation on generation, its flagship smartwatch will receive a price cut. Despite postponing last week’s launch event, Xiaomi has still confirmed a few Watch S2-hardware specifications, the details of which you can find in our corresponding article.
