iQOO has been said to update the 10 series' design with a full-width, Vivo-esque window for its rear cameras that would split its back panel into 2 parts. Now, the brand has confirmed this state of affairs in its latest teaser reminding its initial Chinese-market audience of the new flagship-grade smartphones' July 2022 launch date.
Its Weibo channel has now confirmed that the rest of the 10-series rear panel will be covered in vegan leather rather than glass, and will be available in either black or white. These colorways will be dubbed the "Track" and "Legendary" Editions respectively, functioning as a background for additional BMW livery in the latter case.
These styles should make for an overall two-tone effect in the iQOO 10 series. This seems to leave the Track Edition as the much plainer option; however, the OEM also now hints at a subtle kevlar effect for its rear camera glass. On that note, graphics reading "V1+" and "40x zoom" can be made out on the updated camera hump in both cases.
Therefore, it now seems rumors of extra in-house camera enhancements in the 10 series have now been validated. Finally, iQOO has low-key endorsed the idea of a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 in the Pro variant, as the processor's logo now peeps out of the bottom right corner of its latest marketing material. Therefore, a potentially blockbuster refresh of the 9 and 9 Pro may indeed be on the way.
