iQOO Z6 80W and Z6x launch is set for later in August 2022
iQOO's Z6 has already reached markets such as India. It is sold there in 4G/LTE and 5G variants, in fact, the latter of which has the Snapdragon 695 SoC and up to 8GB of RAM. Despite these quite acceptable low-to-mid-range specs, the brand now intends to refresh it with some of its OEM Vivo's latest hardware features.
This new Z6 is slated to look much like the existing 4G/LTE variant, with its double-barreled camera hump for up to 3 rear shooters. However, it is touted to be the "strongest" Z-series variant yet, which has led to speculation that it will also come with spec boosts such as an upgrade as far as the Snapdragon 778G+ processor.
It is also rumored to come with the Z6 5G's 120Hz (albeit LCD) display and up to 12GB of RAM. Meanwhile, iQOO has confirmed that it will launch as the world's latest 80W-charging smartphone, which might explain its current teaser.
It will debut alongside a successor for the Z5x, said to come with the 44W FlashCharge standard of yesteryear and a build most like that of the current Z6 5G with dual rear cameras. Both new Android smartphones are scheduled to become official on August 25, 2022.
