iQOO 10 Pro lands on Geekbench with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset a week before its release
A member of the iQOO 10 series has surfaced on Geekbench ahead of its launch. Slated for release on July 19, the iQOO 10 series may be exclusive to China, at least initially. As iQOO's teaser images show, it will continue to offer an M Motorsport variant, which should debut alongside the rest of the iQOO 10 series from 19:30 China Standard Time (11:30 UTC).
Predictably, iQOO will utilise the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 in at least one iQOO 10 model. Reportedly, Qualcomm's new chipset will arrive in the iQOO 10 Pro, which cuts a fine figure as the Vivo V2218A, shown in the screenshot below. Although Geekbench does not list what SoC the Vivo V2218A has, references to it using a 'taro' motherboard with a 3.19 GHz clock speed and an Adreno 730 GPU all align with it being Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1.
Hence, the iQOO 10 Pro should match the performance of the new Xiaomi 12S series, including the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. However, iQOO is expected to bring 200 W fast charging to the iQOO 10 series, plus 120 W charging for some models. Also, the Geekbench listing highlights that the iQOO 10 Pro has 12 GB of RAM, likely one of several memory configurations that the company will offer. Unfortunately, pricing has not emerged yet for any iQOO 10 model.
