Rumor | iQOO 11 series will pack 16GB of RAM and a Samsung E6 display even in the base model
The iQOO 10 series of premium Android smartphones debuted with a world-first 200W charging system in 2022, and boasted the latest Qualcomm flagship silicon to drive displays with up-to-LTPO 3.0 Samsung OLED on top of that. Therefore, it is hard to see where the brand could go from there in 2023. However, according to the famous tipster Digital Chat Station, the only way is up for the Vivo subsidiary.
For a start, the leaker vaguely intimates that iQOO will, much like the better-known brand OnePlus, launch 11-series flagships that are "on the performance track" (Google-translated comments) as they race toward an early 2023 launch.
iQOO will, apparently, achieve this feat by offering 16GB of RAM as "standard", paired to an equally competitive 512GB of internal storage. It is not clear whether this rumored starting SKU is destined for the 11 Pro only or for its vanilla counterpart as well - although it would be a major coup for the former, with predecessors that have been left out of the latest charging tech, better display resolutions and even the newest processors in some cases.
By any name, this ultra-high-end iQOO 11-series base model is also now backed to launch with a flat 2K display with Samsung E6 tech, which might improve on the brightness, quality and responsiveness of even its E5 forebear.
The 10-series' upgrades are also thought to launch with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor backed up with what might be the same in-house ISP as the Vivo X90 series. However, there is no word of a cutting-edge 1-inch sensor in iQOO's upcoming flagships - yet.
