iQOO 9T is officially set to launch as India's "most powerful smartphone" in August 2022
The Chinese-market versions of the iQOO 9 and 9 Pro have now been supplanted by their souped-up 10-series refreshes; now, the India-specific versions of the Android flagship smartphones are headed for the treatment.
Then again, it seems the brand has prepared just 1 device for these purposes. The 9T is currently construed as more of a re-badged vanilla iQOO 10, as it allegedly lacks the 40x zoom spec for its rear cameras - not to mention the new and ground-breaking 200W charging tech - of the 10 Pro.
Nevertheless, it will be India's first Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1/Vivo V1+ premium smartphone, as the brand's new Amazon.in preview page already boasts. It has yet to confirm any further details on the upcoming phone, although PriceBaba claims to have heard it will cost INR 49,990 (~US$626) for an 8GB RAM/128GB internal storage SKU, or INR 54,990 (~US$689) for the only other 12/256GB storage.
In fact, iQOO might already roughly concur with the latter, as it touts the 9T as the fastest smartphone in its "below 55K" (presumably INR 55,000 or less) bracket. These claims also apply to a specific 12/256GB SKU, and put it on par with other new top-end mobile devices out there.
On that note, iQOO has set the launch of the 9T for August 2, 2022 - 1 day ahead of OnePlus' global launch for its new 10T.
