Leaks pointing to a new potential flagship for iQOO's Neo line of often performance-oriented Android smartphones have finally been vindicated. The Vivo sub-brand has finally opened reservations for this new seventh-gen device, casually revealing the premium camera (or camera hump, at least) DNA it has inherited from its OEM's 2022 flagships.

The next Neo-series launch is now officially a go, as iQOO has just announced that the 7 will be unveiled in full soon. The OEM has yet to make its rumored top-end Dimensity chipset official, even though it has indicated that it will have at least 1 8GB RAM/256GB internal storage SKU.

iQOO has revealed that the Neo7 will indeed ship with a periscope zoom lens, however, to be part of a camera hump that does indeed look like it was donated by an up-to-date Vivo flagship (then again, it appears there are just 2 lenses in the rest of this expansive glass island).

The resulting rear panel is presented in an on-brand orange colorway rather than the blue hinted at earlier. This Neo7 back view is finished in a material that, despite its looks, is said to be something other than vegan leather.

Despite all this new detail, there is still no word on international availability for the Neo7. Nevertheless, Chinese iQOO fans can reserve a unit from today (October 12, 2022), ahead of its launch on October 20.
