Rumor | iQOO 11 is the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered Android 13 smartphone to leak onto Geekbench
iQOO is a subsidiary of Vivo with a solid reputation of throwing all the premium specs possible at its top-end devices - which then start at surprisingly reasonable prices. It is expected to build on its latest 10 series with an 11 and 11 Pro with even newer, potentially improved displays, cutting-edge RAM and storage specs and, of course, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
This processor is thought to be responsible for a handful of new Geekbench listings with the code-name kalama and an interesting 1+3+4 structure for its 8 ARM cores. They are still relatively rare, yet have just added to their number with a new set of results for a "vivo V2243A".
Based on this model number, it is thought to be an iQOO 11 or, just maybe, an 11 Pro. In either case, it has 12GB of RAM and runs on Android 13. With its base clock of 2.02GHz, it is indeed said to do so using the 8 Gen 2 - however, it also has 3.19GHz as a top speed, which is slightly puzzling as it can reportedly do 3.36GHz in Samsung Galaxy S23-series devices.
This strange discrepancy is also seen in what might be the Vivo X90 Pro+ that may also have sneaked onto Geekbench ahead of its launch, in return for scores similar to that of this "11-series" smartphone. Perhaps this mystery will be solved during iQOO's next major launch events: their next-gen flagships are projected to debut in markets such as India by December 2022.
