The iQOO 11 has officially won the race to be the first Android smartphone to make the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor international today (December 8, 2022). Like its Pro sibling, it combines this new top-end SoC with new UFS 4.0 storage and cutting-edge LPDDR5X RAM; however, it is the only member of its series to debut both inside and outside China today (December 8, 2022). It also boasts fast 120W charging for a 5,000mAh battery in both regions.

iQOO has taken the unprecedented step of debuting its latest vanilla flagship smartphone internationally, making the 11 official in Indonesia and Malaysia as well as the brand's native China. Furthermore, they have been revealed as virtually the same device in either region, except that its new Isle of Man colorway seems to be exclusive to its domestic market.

This leaves the hallmark iQOO options of Track and Legend finishes for the global edition of the 11. It has been unveiled as having the same "Awesome" trio of RAM, storage and SoC specs as its Pro counterpart, complete with the custom V2 secondary chipset and, thus, the massive branded rear camera window that goes with that.

However, the chip boosts different triple cameras in this case: an ISOCELL GN5 as a main sensor, an ultra-wide that is 8MP where the Pro has 50MP and a 13MP portrait shooter. Then again, the 11 has the exact same display as the 11 Pro, down to the size, upgraded 2K 144Hz E6 AMOLED panel with an 1,800-nit peak brightness - however, it is flat with minimal bezels all around rather than curved in this variant.

Like the Pro, the iQOO 11 runs Android 13-based software out of the box, launching as OriginOS 3 in China and Funtouch OS 13 elsewhere. On the other hand, the iQOO 11's wired charging goes at no more than 120W, and there is no wireless charging here. It does have 16GB of RAM, though - which is the only option available in the Indonesian or Malaysian market.

The new bleeding-edge flagship's single 16/256GB SKU starts at 9,999,000 rupiah (IDR; ~US$641) including VAT or 3,999 ringgit (MYR; ~US$909) and seems to be available to order from now. Meanwhile, in China, the vanilla 11 has shirked its one storage SKU per RAM increment pattern of the Pro for a more diverse, potentially wallet-friendly, range of options.

Its 8GB RAM options have 128GB or 256GB of that UFS 4.0-rated capacity for just 3,799 yuan (~US$545) to 4,099 yuan (~US$588); alternatively, there is a single 12/256GB SKU for 4,399 yuan (~US$618), while the 16/256-512GB top-end models go from 4,699 yuan (~US$674) to 4,999 yuan (~US$718).

Despite this Xiaomi-beating price reveal, the iQOO 11 cannot be pre-ordered in China until December 12, 2022.
