Asus ExpertBook B7 Flip: A 2-in-1 laptop for the business sector
Asus offers 2-in-1 devices belonging to the premium business segment within the ExpertBook B7 Flip lineup. Our configuration variant is one of the top models in the series and is available for about 2,500 Euros. In line with the price level, Asus opts for high-quality case materials: The matte black chassis is made of a magnesium-aluminum alloy.
A Core i7-1195G7 processor, 16 GB of RAM (1x 16 GB, expandable, 2 memory slots), and a 1 TB NVMe SSD (M.2 2280) equip the laptop for all the common use cases of a convertible. Asus lets a part of the computing power go to waste, since the RAM only runs in single-channel mode. Dual-channel mode can be enabled by installing a second memory module.
The laptop has two Thunderbolt 4 ports (USB-C; Power Delivery, DisplayPort), which are used for a variety of tasks: The device's power supply (Power Delivery), interface expansion using a docking station, the connection of an external GPU, and video output (DisplayPort via USB-C). Together with the HDMI output and the separate Mini DisplayPort, the B7 has four video outputs.
The IPS touchscreen display (1920x1200 pixels) in the 16:10 format pleases with high brightness, excellent contrast, stable viewing angles, very decent color reproduction, and good color-space coverage. The sRGB color space is covered by 99%. The screen can not only be operated through touch input, but also with the included Asus Pen (SA201H).
