Amazon is currently offering the 1 TB XMG Gammix S70 Blade PCIe4 SSD for $10 USD off the original launch price of $129. Aside from being a fast PCIe4 drive with sequential read and write rates of up to 7400 MB/s and 6800 MB/s, respectively, the drive and its included aluminum heat spreader are both also compatible with the Playstation 5.

The Gammix S70 Blade should not be confused with the standard Gammix S70 which comes with a much larger heat spreader and subsequently higher price in comparison. The drives themselves are otherwise identical, however.

In our review of the Gammix S70 Blade, we found the drive to throttle during our performance stress tests meaning that it was unable to maintain maximum performance for extended periods even with the included heat spreader installed. Thus, PC users looking to maximize the performance of the drive may want to invest in a larger heat sink than the thin one included with the Gammix S70 Blade. Laptop and PS5 users will be out of luck since they are unable to support larger heat sinks.
