Spring and warmer temperatures are just around the corner in many regions in the Northern hemisphere, but countless PlayStation gamers might still be excited to hear which titles the Japanese gaming behemoth has in store for its paying PS Plus subscribers this coming month. According to the official reveal, the three free PlayStation Plus games for April 2022 will cover three very different genres.
In an official blog entry, Sony has announced that PS Plus subscribers in April will for example be able to enjoy the online multiplayer game Hood: Outlaws & Legends for free. With its various PvE and PvP modes, the third-person action game developed by Sumo Digital should be a lot fun thanks to a bunch of playable characters that are equipped with unique weapons and skills. This game is playable on both PS4 and PlayStation 5.
The lineup of free PS Plus games for April 2022 further features the colorful platformer SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated, which might be worth a look for fans of the spongy comic hero. Last but not least, PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to play Slay the Spire, a fantasy game which combines TCG elements with roguelike gameplay. PlayStation gamers with an active PS Plus subscription will be able to download all three games for free starting April 5.
