The ExpertBook offers a 5G modem, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, and a 14-inch touchscreen display (1920x1200 pixels) with a 16:10 aspect ratio. The touchscreen can be used both through touch input and with the included Asus Pen.

The recommended retail price for the ASUS ExpertBook B7 Flip set by the manufacturer is R28 500. It costs a pretty penny and we suspect most of this cost is influenced by its foldability gimmick, which we believe is needless in the long term if you’re aiming for increased productivity. We can’t wrap our heads around paying nearly R30 000 just to write notes on a big tablet. Without the folding feature, the notebook boils down to a solid business laptop with touchscreen functionality and if you’re an office employee it will be more than acceptable for your day-to-day activities and your nightly streaming. For artists and designers, the B7 Flip is not but if you have the means and you want to buy a machine to impress your colleagues as a status symbol or similar then the gimmicks it has may be up your alley.

The Asus ExpertBook B7 Flip is an interesting convertible laptop. It's a bit expensive for wide deployment across work teams, but those who do get it will have the advantages of 360-degree screen rotation, plenty of ports, all-day battery life and a bundled stylus. The touchpad-integrated number pad may prove useful, too. While off-the-shelf configurations are limited, Asus talks of up to 64GB of RAM and 2TB of SSD storage, so there's potential to stretch this laptop's specification if required -- and if funds allow.

At R29 499 (RRP), the ExpertBook B7 Flip does not come cheap, but neither do most truly premium Windows 10 notebooks. Aimed at the enterprise crowd, it delivers where it needs to in an elegantly subtle package, with the only fault being a slightly subpar battery performance. If you are deskbound most of the time, that is quite alright, but those wanting portability may need to look elsewhere. All in all though, it is a more than solid premium business notebook, which Asus has been developing a skill at manufacturing of late. At just under R30k (RRP), the ExpertBook B7 Flip is a well appointed premium business notebook, serving up a decent enough display, good videoconferencing and speedy performance to tick all the necessary boxes, with the only issue being middling battery life. It is another in a growing line of great notebooks from Asus.

Asus: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. is a major Taiwanese computer hardware manufacturer based in Taipei, founded in 1989. Under the Asus brand name, the company manufactures a wide range of products, including laptops, desktops, motherboards, graphics cards, monitors, smartphones and networking equipment, complete systems and PC components for end users.
Under the ROG (Republic of Gamers) brand name, ASUS manufactures gaming laptops known by gamers for their powerful specifications, dedicated graphics cards, high refresh rate displays and advanced cooling systems.
Beyond gaming, a wide range of notebooks are offered for different needs and budgets, from ultra-slim and lightweight ultrabooks to versatile 2-in-1 convertibles and budget-friendly options. In 2023, Asus had a 7% global market share of the PC market.
Customer satisfaction with ASUS notebooks concerns performance, the features, and the good price-performance ratio of ASUS notebooks. However, as with any brand, there are occasional reports of problems such as overheating, driver compatibility, or build quality issues.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

14.00:
14 inch display size represents a middle ground between the small subnotebook formats and the screens of the standard 15 inch laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, provides good resolutions with usable detail sizes, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact.
In the past, 14-inch devices were very rare, but now they are the standard for laptops after the 15-inchers.

81.04%: This rating is slightly above average, there are somewhat more devices with worse ratings. However, clear purchase recommendations look different.
