ASUS has introduced an upgraded ExpertBook B7 Flip. Also, ASUS offers the new ExpertBook B7 Flip with Home and Pro versions of Windows 11 Home and Windows 11 Pro. Additionally, ASUS equips the ExpertBook B7 Flip with two SO-DIMM slots, an M.2 2280 slot for up to a 2 TB PCIe 3.0 SSD and a 63 Wh battery consisting of three Li-polymer cells.
Moreover, the ExpertBook B7 Flip comes with a 1,920 x 1,200-pixel panel by default, although a 2,560 x 1,600-pixel panel will also be available. Incidentally, the ExpertBook B7 Flip measures 320 x 234.2 x 18~18.9 mm and weighs at least 1.43 kg. According to ASUS, the new ExpertBook B7 Flip will be available from Q3 2022. However, the company has not shared a specific release date yet.
Still, the laptop will be available from US$1,399 in the US and CAD$2,100 in Canada. Unfortunately, ASUS has not shared full prices and configurations yet. Either way, all configurations should have an IR webcam, 65 W charger support and 3 years manufacturer's warranty.
Update - May 31
ASUS has since clarified that the new ExpertBook B7 Flip (B7402FBA) relies on Intel Alder Lake processors, not their Tiger Lake predecessors. The upgrade to Alder Lake processors brings DDR5 RAM too, with up to 4,800 MHz SO-DIMM modules supported. Specifically, the B7402FBA will be available with four Alder Lake processors, starting with the Core i5-1240P. All processors are 28 W parts that also feature 12 cores; two support Intel vPro as well.
