Leaker @harukaze5719 has discovered another ROG Zephyrus gaming laptop due for release next year. Having already tweeted about the ROG Zephyrus M16 2023, the leaker has now shared details concerning the ROG Zephyrus G14 2023 (GA402N). While ASUS appears to have updated some of the 2023 model’s internal hardware, the laptop’s design is unchanged from this year’s ROG Zephyrus G14 GA402R.
For example, the GA402N retains its predecessor’s large trackpad, as well as its keyboard layout. Additionally, the GA402N appears to have a 16:10 display, which still has a matte finish. The GA402N has a revised camera module like the ROG Zephyrus M16 2023 too, although it is unclear what changes ASUS has made in this regard. Potentially, ASUS has included a Windows Hello-compatible IR camera, along with an improved webcam.
Surprisingly, the Korea Energy Agency has not blanked out the GA402N’s specifications, as it did with the ROG Zephyrus M16 2023. The image quality is too low to decipher all details, but the processor can be read as ‘AMD R7-7735H’, a BGA variant with a 3.2 GHz base clock. If that is the case, then the ROG Zephyrus G14 2023 may have a Zen 3+ based APU and not one based on the newer Zen 4 architecture. Still, the GA402N should arrive with a more powerful AMD Radeon RX 7000S GPU. A release date is unknown at this stage, although the device’s certification at this stage implies that ASUS may at least preview the laptop in January and CES 2023.
